Giggles and Grins for Gems, Just What the Doctor Ordered This Holiday Season!

CEDAR RAPIDS – Tickets are still available for Giggles and Grins, the Gems of Hope ten-year anniversary celebration scheduled for December 19 at 7 pm at the Scottish Rite Temple in Cedar Rapids.
Headliner Doug Thompson brings his quick wit and funny impressions to the event, which also includes local favorites Alisabeth Von Presley and Gerard Estella. The evening begins with the Good Laughs Give Back comedy troop.
“Celebrating 10 years of Gems of Hope with this event is a fun and unique way to recognize the good work Gems has done during the past decade. The comedy show, combined with the musical magic of Alisabeth and Gerard provides a nice break from all the holiday hustle and bustle,” remarked Norah Hammond, Executive Director of Gems of Hope. “It is also a good reminder that we need to always take time for joy and laughter.”
The cost for the event is $20 per person, which includes hors d’oeuvres and cash bar. Doors open at 6 pm with the program scheduled to begin at 7 pm. Tickets may be purchased online at www.shop.gemsofhope.com or by calling 319-393-9681.
